Before you subscribe
Can I try the book before I pay?
Yes. Free lessons open right on this page with no sign-up: a Listening lesson, a Reading lesson, a Writing lesson, a full Listening practice test and the level check. Because you can try the book first, there are no refunds after payment.
Is it written for the current Duolingo English Test?
Yes. It follows Duolingo's 2026 question guide: Read and Select, Fill in the Blanks, Read and Complete, Listen and Type, Interactive Reading and Listening, the photo tasks, Interactive Writing and Speaking, and the Writing and Speaking Samples, scored on the 10–160 scale with four subscores. FLC is not affiliated with Duolingo. Score requirements vary by university, so always check yours.
Which devices can I use?
Any phone and any computer with a modern browser. Your book opens on one phone and one computer at a time, under your own name. If you open it on a new phone, the old phone is signed out of the book.
Can I download or print the book?
No. The FLC DET MasterBook is digital only. You read and practise in the interactive book and the book reader, which work on phone and computer; there is no PDF download and no printing.
What happens when my plan ends?
On the last day of your plan the book and its recordings close. We email you 14 days and 3 days before, and you can renew in one step. If you renew early, the new plan starts after your current end date, so you never lose days.
I study for the DET at FLC. Do I pay again?
No. FLC coaching includes the book with its own activation code. Enter it in My Books, or ask your FLC branch.
How do I pay?
In India, by Razorpay: UPI, debit or credit card, net banking or wallets, in rupees plus 18% GST. In Canada, by card on Stripe in Canadian dollars, plus the sales tax for your province. Anywhere else, by international card in US dollars. The book opens as soon as your payment is confirmed, and a receipt is emailed to you.
