What the General Training mock test covers
- Reading Section 1: short everyday texts such as course adverts, notices and timetables.
- Reading Section 2: workplace texts such as a staff handbook, a job description or training notes.
- Reading Section 3: one longer article on a topic of general interest.
- Writing Task 1: a letter of at least 150 words — formal or semi-formal, with three points to cover.
- Writing Task 2: an essay of at least 250 words giving your opinion or discussing two views.
- Listening and Speaking: the same four-part Listening and three-part Speaking used in every IELTS test.
Scoring
Why GT Reading is marked more strictly
Because General Training reading texts are easier, IELTS converts raw scores to bands more strictly than for Academic. Around 30 correct answers out of 40 is only band 6 in General Training Reading, and you need about 34 for band 7. Our mock test uses this General Training conversion, so your estimate reflects what the real test would give you.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is General Training easier than Academic?
The reading texts are more everyday, but the band conversion is stricter, so you need more correct answers for the same band. Writing Task 1 is a letter rather than a chart description. Neither version is simply easier — practise the one you will sit.
Which IELTS do I need for Canada PR?
Canada's economic immigration programmes, including Express Entry, accept IELTS General Training, not Academic. Check the current requirements for your programme on canada.ca or speak to an RCIC before you book.
Are these real IELTS exam questions?
No. Every question is original practice material written by Future Link Consultants to the current IELTS format, question types and length. Real and past IELTS questions belong to the IELTS partners and are confidential, so no honest provider can sell them. Our aim is that the real test feels familiar when you sit it.
How much does the full-length mock test cost?
Each full-length test — Academic or General Training — costs ₹999 + 18% GST (₹1,178.82) per attempt. You pay online by UPI, card, net banking or wallet through Razorpay, and the test unlocks immediately. The free practice test costs nothing.
How long do I have to take the test after paying?
You have 7 days from payment to start. Once you start, the 3-hour timer runs on our server — refreshing or losing your connection does not pause it, but your answers are saved and you can resume while time remains.
