Frequently asked questions
Are these real PTE Academic questions?
No. Every question is original practice material written by Future Link Consultants in the current PTE Academic format, with all 22 question types including Summarize Group Discussion and Respond to a Situation. Official Pearson items are confidential.
What is the difference between PTE Academic and PTE Core?
PTE Academic is for university and college admission and for study visas, with academic lectures and texts, an essay and tasks such as Re-tell Lecture. PTE Core is for Canada PR and work permits, with everyday English. Our counsellors can tell you which one your plans need.
How is my PTE Academic result calculated?
Reading and Listening are marked the moment you submit. Questions with several answers earn partial credit and wrong choices cost marks, as on the real test. We convert your marks to a 10–90 score. An FLC trainer scores Speaking and Writing.
How is Speaking assessed?
From a transcript, not a recording. Press the Speak button and your browser turns your speech into text (Chrome, Edge or Safari), or type what you would say. Your voice is never recorded or stored, so pronunciation, intonation and spoken fluency are not assessed. A trainer reviews the content, vocabulary, grammar and organisation of your answers, so your speaking estimate is a guide to those aspects only — practise speaking aloud, or book a live speaking session, for feedback on pronunciation and fluency.
How much does the PTE Academic mock test cost?
Full tests cost ₹999 for one test, ₹1,699 for two or ₹2,399 for three, plus 18% GST. Tests in a pack can be any Language Test Lab exam — IELTS Academic, IELTS General Training, PTE Core, CELPIP-General, TCF Canada, TEF Canada, DELF A2 or Goethe A1, A2 or B1 — chosen each time you start, and you never get the same test twice.
